American Idol, probably the most watched show in the history of entertainment finally crowned it's winner David Cook at the Nokia Theatre in grand finale fit for a superstar. It was touching to see him get overcome by emotions after his last performance. Maybe reflecting on his long journey on American Idol was just too much for him and he was glad it was finally over.

There's no doubt both Davids are extremely talented. But I'd always been rooting for David Archuleta through out the season and I still believe he delivered. Cook is definitely a great singer but his performances I thought were a bit lackluster for a grand finale compared to Archuleta who delivered knock out after knock out which prompted Simon Cowel to declare him winner of round 1 and 2 of the 3 rounds. It's just as well though. At just 17 the boy is too young. He has a very powerful voice but most of the time he just didn't know what to say when asked questions. But hey! It was not a talking competition.

I think America was afraid to catapult him to teenage megastardom lest he meets the ogre that ate former teenage star's Britney Spears' brains. He's already a star by virtue of his big voice and immense talent but maybe having not won the title will give him a chance to cool off and complete his studies. The youngster had trouble even dealing with the possibility of being crowned American Idol Season 7. Throughout the show he looked mostly overwhelmed - like he would faint at any time. David Cook on the other hand is more mature at 25 years and is better placed to handle the pressures that are likely to come with is new job. I hope their careers will blossom like for some of the former winners of American Idol.

Speaking of former American Idol Winners, I was really shocked at the performance of one Fantasia Barrino on the show a few weeks ago. Talk of change of musical style! She was never my favorite even during her season but at least she had a sweet voice and actually used to actually sing! This time she landed onto the stage with blazing red hair, red lips and red nails and shouted herself hoarse. Whatever she's smoking she needs to stop. Even Simon Cowel was caught on camera gawking in obvious disbelief. Other past winners like Jordan Sparks and Kerry Underwood seem to be doing much better.

Customer Review: good but some disappointment
dance steps are fine and not too difficult but steps are done to a percussion beat rather than to tunes and real latin music. I really prefer music and so this doesn't feel like dancing, just exercising, and therefore isn't as much fun.
Customer Review: Not what I expected !!
I am a fan of salsa music and i thought that this dvd would be fun to try and put in a part of my work outs. The instructor was just wayyyy too much. too loud , too hyper. she came off very corny at times. lol. the video is just dumb. i dont know ,i just found her annoying. The music was good and all but i just cant take her. I dont do this video often. Once in a blue. It really wasnt as good as thought it was gonna be. i have other crunch video but come on now. they need better instructors.

Starting your score can be very challenging, and will require a lot of concentration and patience. You must decide on the proper mood, tone, and which instruments you are going to use. Whether you're using classical instruments or programming the music on a computer, the sound of each instrument will adversely affect the tone of the piece.

Plan ahead by watching as many of the scenes as you can (if not the whole film) and figure out how many different emotions you will have to convey with your music. The director or music supervisor should also help you when deciding this. With each different emotion or different scene, you may have to compose a whole new piece of music.

Creating the Mood

The most important thing to remember about composing a score for a film is that the music must be able to help provoke an emotional response from the viewers. Your music must coalesce with the footage to create a visual/aural masterpiece.

There are thousands of films that wouldn't have been what they were without the music that they had. It's been said that Star Wars looked terrible and was almost laughable before the music of John Williams was added. A film composer must be able to compose music that not only fits well with the video, but also provokes the viewer to feel strong emotions without knowing why. Your music must become part of the movie, and move with each scene to allow the viewers to get absorbed.

Tact and taste are very important here. Doing too much or too little is a very real possibility and is something that is very easy to fall into. Creating the perfect score is not an easy task, and not something that everyone can do.

Creating a Theme

Many composers employ themes into their music that are repeated throughout the film in various forms. Themes are what make music memorable, as they are repeated often and will stick in the mind of the viewers (listeners). Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Halloween are perfect examples of using a musical theme in a score. Watch any of those films and you will quickly recognize the theme in each composition.

If you strike gold with a great piano riff, or an emotional melody, try to find different ways of using it throughout your composition. It can be a highly useful tactic, but be sure not to overuse your theme, for it can become tired and ruin the emotional impact. Hold off in some sections and try creating a new melody with the same notes, or something that sounds vaguely similar. Creativity is key.

Using Effects

Using sound effects in your music or using things that aren't usually used as instruments can make for a very unique piece of music. Using such things as household objects as percussion instruments or odd loops can really spice up your music.

A great example of using sound effects in music is the Oscar winning film Atonement. Composer Dario Marianelli used the noise of a typewriter as a percussion instrument in his score and the result was breathtaking. Hearing the music in a movie theatre was a great experience.

Completing Your Score

If you take pride in your work and utilize great care while composing, you just might be able to create a great piece of music. If it fits well with the film, and provokes an emotional rush from viewers, you should celebrate and give yourself a pat on the back.

Composing music is a task that isn't right for everyone, and composing music for film is another thing altogether. You must use tact, creativity, passion, and good judgment to compose a great piece of music, and you will have to put your heart and soul into what you are creating.

Remember not to treat music as secondary to the visual aspect of the film. When done right, it can be just as important as the acting or the camera angles. Without great music there are no great films.

Florida has long been known for a party destination mostly due to the fact that
Spring Breakers have come to the Keys, Panama City, Fort Lauderdale, and Daytona
for years. However, Florida has a great nightlife any place any time of the year, no
matter what the reason. Learn about hot spots and locals secrets to get the most
out of your Florida vacation.

Jacksonville

Kick off the night in Jacksonville, home to the University of North Florida and a great
twenty to thirty-something crowd. The party scene is found over the Intracoastal
Waterway at the Jacksonville Beaches. Start the night right at Ragtime Taproom and
Brewery, a locals favorite known for great microbrews and live music. Voted Best
Brew Pub year after year, the large bar starts filling up with the after-work crowd
and does not empty until closing time. Head to the boardwalk to find The Atlantic,
known for tasty appetizers and a great happy hour. Nightly music will range from
jazz to hard rock and techno and begins around 9:30. If the typical beach bar is
what you are in the mood for, look no further than Bukkets. Play pool, grab a drink,
or watch people on the boardwalk in this high-energy drinking hole. Freebird Live
was built in commemoration of Jacksonville native Ronnie VanZant of Lynyrd
Skynyrd. This is where to go if you are looking to hear great live music. Past
performers include Charlie Daniels, Willie Nelson, and Blues Traveler. Jacksonville
has it all: a great nightlife, gorgeous beaches, and locals that love to have a good
time.

Panama City Beach

Heading west will take you to Panama City Beach, home to one of the largest Spring
Break gatherings in the state. Front Beach Road is home to two PCB staples,
Harpoon Harrys and Sharkys Beach Club. Harpoon Harrys has tasty late night
snacks, great drinks, and local live music. This is the ideal place for anyone wanting
to avoid the crowds at larger clubs. Sharkys is a Panama City Beach institution,
having been home to the Tiki Hut for almost 20 years. Hear live bands, drink mixed
drinks, and enjoy fresh seafood where the energy is always high. The Boatyard
attracts tourists and locals alike with a laid back atmosphere, delicious late-night
treats, and live music. The dance floor is always full and the party goes on all night.
Club La Vela is the nations largest nightclub with ten theme rooms, each with its
own style of music and atmosphere. Get to the club early and stay late at one of the
trendiest nightclubs in the world. Panama City Beach continues its reputation for
having one of the best late night scenes in Florida.

Orlando

Central Florida brings Orlando as its top nightlife scene. With quite a few colleges
and universities in the area, theme parks with adult hours, and locals who like to
have fun, there are plenty of options when it comes to local nightlife. Pleasure
Island, part of Walt Disney World, turns into fun for the adults after dark.
Purchasing a pass gets you into the clubs and attractions like BET SoundStage Club,
8TRAX, Mannequins Dance Club, Motions, and the Rock 'n' Roll Beach Club.
Universal Studios answers back with its own adult nightlife scene found at CityWalk.
Although there is no entrance fee, it is suggested to purchase the Party Pass that
gets you free cover and priority entrance to BB Kings Blues Club, Howl at the Moon,
Jillians Hi-Life Lanes, Rumba Room and the Saddle Ranch Chop House, as well as,
plenty of other freebies. The nightlife in Orlando does not end at the theme parks.
Head to downtown Orlando to experience what the locals do after dark. Tabu Night
Club is a more sophisticated alternative to Orlando nightlife with a dress code. The
Art Deco design, friendly staff, fabulous drinks and appetizers, and celeb DJs make
this the place to go when looking for a more matrue atmosphere. Roxy is the heart
of the Orlando nightlife scene and is the place to go if you want to see and be seen.
This huge bi-level club has multiple rooms to cater to whatever mood and price
level you are interested in. Orlando, known for childrens theme parks and
dreamlands, becomes an adults playground at sunset.

Fort Lauderdale

Heading south brings you to Fort Lauderdale, home of the original Spring Break
party scene. Start your vacation at the Elbo Room, an iconic beachside bar surviving
from the Where The Boys Are era. Live music and ambiance make this a must-
visit. The Art Bar is an up and coming Fort Lauderdale hot spot with great drinks
and music. The Martini Bar, located downtown, is the new rage with fun takes on
the classic martini. Crowds love the fun staff and atmosphere. The best dueling

Unlimited music downloads are everywhere nowadays. There is always an old saying that money does not grow on trees to imply its severe shortage. Unlike money, music downloads can be found practically at thousands of websites. It can be pretty confusing for folks who never had any prior experience in downloading music from the internet when they are presented with so many choices. We are funny creatures. When we have only one choice for music downloads, we mumble about the lack of choice. But when we have too many, we grumble again. This article will provide useful educational details on some of the more popular sites that can offer almost unlimited music downloads to you. The list is not exhaustive as there are other similar websites.

1. AOL Music Now

This site is packed with close to 2 million songs and unlike many unlimited music downloads sites, you can download music directly without installing any software on your personal computer. By adding an extra $5 per month, you get to download unlimited music to your digital portable player.

2. Napster

The new revamped Napster gives you millions of songs, equivalent to unlimited music downloads. Before you can tap into their play list, you need to install their client application on your PC. The add-on feature To Go service provided allows you to download close to 90% of their songs to your MP3 player.

3. Rhapsody

One of the most established online digital music services around, this site is like a granddaddy in the online music arena. It is also one of the pioneer sites that coined the term unlimited music downloads when they decided to offer customers access to their entire play list. Recently, there is another option for you to download music directly onto your PC without any software installation. Customers can listen up to 25 free songs every month.

There are many other download sites where you also can download music videos on top of sound tracks and songs. Some of them follow a pay per download model, while others offer a monthly subscription service. There is a third group that runs on lifetime memberships that allow you to download unlimited music for a flat rate. Discover more about where to find quality music at my blog and read up the latest news on sites that offer unlimited music downloads for prices affordable to all.

A Taste of Salsa, Volume I

In Volume I, Lisa and Andres present the steps and turns at a pace you can keep up with. They share the "how to's" and "how not to's" for proper lead and follow technique and detail the connecting pieces that are too often left out. In addition, equal attention is paid to both the leads and follows so that you become a dynamic couple and a solid individual dancer. As a result, your Salsa steps will feel more natural and your confidence will grow. This is just the thing for a non-dancer ready to take on their burning dancing desire!

In this volume, the following steps are introduced: Basic step Hand positions - Palms Up and Palms Down Body positions - Open and Closed Side to side step Swing step Transitioning between the positions and variations Combining variations Basic turn combination. Numerous practice combinations

With a bit of practice, you will soon become a Salsero.

Instruction for all volumes in the A Taste of Salsa series is given in both English and Spanish.

The next tape in the series, Volume II, introduces more advanced turning combinations, new ways of moving across the floor and focuses more on styling.
Customer Review: Great basics
If you are a novice and looking to learn in a correct and structured way, these videos (Vol I & II) are very sound and easy to understand. The videos are introductory, so if you already know the basics, perhaps they are not for you. Don't pay attention to the criticism of those who weren't smart enough to read the description and look for more information about the videos from the internet or the instructors' website. The videos are clearly labeled basic. That's why they are titled "A Taste of...." I gave it four stars because even though the intent is to make the tapes universal by making them bilingual, it does tend to slow the lessons a bit. Why not use subtitles for the alternate language?
Customer Review: Save your money!
This has got to be one of the worst Salsa instructional videos I have purchased to date. For the price you get very little. It is repetative and annoying. You only learn 3 steps. I would definately not recommend this video to a beginner.

Cuba is famous for its beaches. People come from around the world to recline in the glorious sunshine and to venture out toward the idyllic turquoise oceans. Of course the biggest beach resort of the entire island is Varadero. Holiday makers visit this particular resort to enjoy more than 20 kilometres of fine white sands and crystal clear water. But beyond these 20 kilometres of beach, there's a whole host of glorious things to see and do for those who want more variety. The city stretches over 14.4 square kilometers, giving us plenty of things to do in Varadero ...

Natural Beauty

Okay, the beach itself is stunning - but this is actually just scratching the surface of the region's aesthetic charms. Indeed, if you do ignore everything but the beach, then you're missing beauty right under your nose; or rather, under the water. Scuba diving is magnificent in Cuba thanks to the island's splendid geographical position, its continental shelf, clear warm waters and vast marine life. With such a large beach, Varadero has 32 established diving sites catering to divers of all abilities and experience, so even if you have never tried it before, you have no excuse not to try donning a wetsuit and exploring the underwater paradise. Most hotels offer diving courses for absolute beginners and a vast array of choice for the more experienced: night dives, cave dives or open sea diving - the choice really is yours! As things to do in Varadero go, scuba diving should be high on your list - it really is an experience!

Parque Reiro Josone is another spot that's worth seeing - and you won't need a wetsuit for this one. The park has been available to visit since 1942 and is a perfect spot to be one with nature on your holiday in Varadero: beautiful trees, a tropical lake and a wide variety of fascinating avian life make this a great spot to visit, and the four restaurants and entertainment facilities means that this is the kind of place you can visit time and time again - and always find something new.

Varadero's caves are worth visiting as well - some can only be visited via the water, but others can be easily visited by those who wish to stay on land - some have even become night clubs, while others remain as great archeological value.

Culture

In terms of cultural entertainment, there are many things to do in Varadero to allow you to get a handle on the city's history and 'feel'. Santa Elvira Church is a particularly interesting structure. Built in 1938, it's an interesting throw-back to life before the revolution, and a fascinating architectural creation in its own rights with an unusual structure of stone and wood, with a suspended half arch.

The Museo Municipal is a good place to start if you want to get a feel of the history of Varadero before mass tourism through the revolution and beyond. If however it's the art that's of greater interest, then the art gallery is a must, featuring paintings, engravings, sculptures and photos by classic Cuba artists, as well as more contemporary figures, including Zaida del Rio and Manuel Mendive.

The Casa de la Cultura is a must visit for culture vultures, home as it is to Los Munequitos de Matanzaz a rumba group of internationally renowned musicians. The area is home to cultural events including poetry readings, music recitals and local trovadores entertaining the Varadero holiday makers and locals.

The Charm of the Market

The highlight for many Varadero holiday makers when they visit the town is undoubtedly the market. This isn't some kind of little market, with stalls filling the area selling everything from cigars, souvenirs, wooden carvings, Cuban figurines, musical instruments and leather works. You just can't beat the big market atmosphere, and even if you're just here to browse, you're virtually guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face.

Although it's not the most varied of resorts, there is a lot more to a holiday in Varadero than just lounging on the magnificent beach. Though that said, you would be missing out to ignore the sands completely - just try not to get sucked in if you want to enjoy the other varied things to do in Varadero!

Emma Lelliott is the general manager of Captivating Cuba, an independent Cuba holiday specialist. With offices in Havana and the UK, Captivating Cuba can help you tailor-make the perfect holidays to Varadero.

Many anime enthusiasts over the net create their own AMV's and raves about them. What is an AMV? An AMV stands for "Anime Music Video. An anime music video is a video made from compiled scenes from a specific or a mixture of various anime with the background music of any song that the user might deem fancy. They're rapidly gaining popularity over the internet with millions and millions of people, mostly kids, trying their hand at making their own versions of these videos. AMV's are usually displayed in video streaming sites such as youtube, livevideo, and veoh. What's so great about these videos is that they allow you to enjoy your favorite music while watching all the best scenes of your favorite anime.

Making Anime Music Videos

Anime Music Videos are rather easy to make. All you need is a program like the Windows Movie Maker and a bunch of clips from the anime of your choice and of course, the music you're going to use for the background.

Good AMV's, however, are a different matter. You see, there are several AMV's in the net that are of poor quality because they're simply very tough to make and it requires a large portion of time. To create a fully well synchronized AMV along with the music is rather tough because usually the music beats a lot of time is very different in comparison to the timing of various clips or scenes inside the anime. Creativity is also another area that's tough as well; it requires a lot of time, patience, a good eye, and a good listening ear to grasp all the essence which it delivers together. To match the scenes with the music, consider every single beat and even the lyrics are all important parts in order to make a good AMV. It also helps if you have an advanced program such as Sony Vegas so that you can have more choices in editing, thereby enabling you to make exceptionally awesome AMV's. Some of the more advanced AMV makers are even going so far as to cut out the characters of an anime in some scene and impose them upon a different background, enabling them to make their own stories out of the graphics already made available to them through the wonders of the internet.

Once you're done making your AMV, all you need to do is to save it onto an .avi format and upload it to your favorite video streaming site. Most people prefer youtube as their primary source of video streaming site, but as you may have heard, there's an issue surrounding youtube and AMV's so pick your video stream sites wisely!

Anime Music Videos and Copyrighting

When you make an anime music video, you're automatically infringing on the copyright of the true owners of the resources that you are using. The footage that you're using isn't yours; it is the rightful property of the animator who has created the anime. If you don't have the permission to use it, then you're infringing upon their rights. Same goes with the music that you're using for your AMV. The music belongs to the artists, the singers, and not to you. If you don't have any permission or if you're not giving credit, then you don't have the right to use it.

Recently, youtube has been placed in hot water due to the numerous infringements of the copyright law in their website. And since they're based on the US, they really have no choice but to comply and to remove the AMV's that their costumers made. This, however, is causing a lot of discontent from their subscribers, thereby putting youtube in a precarious position.

So, if you're going to make an AMV, make sure that you're not violating any copyright laws out of respect. But if you're insistent, then hey, who's there to stop you?

Henry Hsieh has multiple interests and he enjoys talking about them. As a fan of anime, he likes to watch Naruto, play Naruto games discuss them in Naruto Forums, and listen to Naruto MP3 at tailedfox.com the best Naruto site with the newest Naruto episodes of Naruto Shippuden out first.

We, as teenagers, attend parties to have FUN. We want to get away from the tough school hours during the week, kick back and ENJOY life a little. Parties, for that reason, are always filled with high energy, blasting music, drunken teens, laughing, fighting etc. The point is... parties are FILLED WITH EMOTION. There are generally two types of people at these "high energy" parties:

1) The "Wallflower". (Those who grab their drinks -> sit/ stand out of the spotlight -> quietly enjoy their night).

2) The "Entertainers". (Those who are the centre of attention/life of the party -> usually create the excitement/ laughs/ entertainment of others).

Teenage women view the "entertainers" as usually the charismatic, confident, funny, outgoing personality type, whereas the "wallflower" is seen as an insecure, bored, closed personality. Fact is... teenage women (and all women for that matter) GRAVITATE towards the "entertainers" of the party. Teenage women of our era generally live pretty mediocre, boring lives. They look for their male counterpart to give them that extra push for an exciting, adventurous, unpredictable lifestyle that they just don't have.

Women are totally sexually attracted to positive energy exerted by males, SO BE A FUN GUY! Become the life of the party (I don't mean get drunk as hell and make a fool out of yourself) but confidently and casually waltz around the party with a smile on your face and socialize with EVERYONE. Make short conversation with all women there, but make it fun, exciting, and sexually stimulating (by flirting with them). I find that becoming the LIFE of the dance floor, is a GUARANTEE SUCCESS in attracting women. Women LOVE guys who dance, and if they are the centre of attention in the biggest spotlight of the party, girls will by FAR be impressed.

You see...the key to meeting teen women at these parties...is not going straight up to them and forcing out awkward conversation. The REAL KEY... is to make yourself known at the party, and others will flock to YOU (guys and girls) because were all attention seekers. It's a contagious thing... think about it. If one girl is impressed by your dancing and "not giving a shit" attitude, she will approach you. When the other girls see you talking to/ dancing with that girl... they will sub consciously label you as "desired", and THEY will approach you (girls get EXTREMELY jealous from other female competition, so use it to your advantage). Once the guys see that you're mingling on the dance floor with a group of girls who are subtly talking/ near you, THEY will want to join in on the success... and approach to start dancing near you... or just to say "what's up?"

Before you know it, you're suddenly the centre of attention of the party, and EVERYONE will glare at you in either awe or jealousy. You will seem charismatic the way people are gravitating towards you, and it is a CHAIN REACTION. How do you start the chain reaction? You do this by slowly initiating POSITIVE energy and getting on that dance floor. Your main goal is to just get that ONE girl NEAR you... or dancing WITH you. You will not believe the utter success that flows from that... it's almost magical. It literally puts a smile on my face because I've done it SO MANY times. I'm not talking out of my ass here boys... it WORKS.

Just build the confidence to become the life on the dance floor in the first place... and all else will follow. Try not to gain your confidence through alcohol consumption, but rather look within yourself, realize you only live ONCE... and hit the dance floor GUNNIN.

My most successful philosophy in attracting teen women at parties is dancing. I'm not saying I'm a good dancer... but as long as girls know I am having the time of my life... they will be impressed. If there is no dance floor... you still need to somehow become the life of the party. I truly value the power of dancing, but I do understand that there are "non dancers" out there... and many of them. So if initiating that exciting, confident "aura" on the floor just isn't your thing... you will need to stick with me here... well... at least until lesson: 21.

This and MUCH more will is discussed in a complete FREE program I have designed based upon the fundamentals of the psychology of attraction. The best thing you can do at a party to attract women... well, visit my website and find out for yourself: Attract-Teen-Women.

Did you know?

France is the birthplace of Pierre de Coubertin, who is the father of the Olympic Movement. This Frenchman was born on January 1, 1863 in Paris. Pierre once said, "The Olympic Movement gives the world an ideal which reckons with the reality of life, and includes a possibility to guide this reality toward the great Olympic idea".

The Summer Olympic Games were held in Paris in 1900. For the first time, sportswomen were allowed to compete in the Olympics ( six tennis players ). France won first place in the Games with 26 gold, 41 silver and 34 bronze medals.

Marie-Jos Prec was one of France's greatest sportswomen. She was born in Guadeloupe ( Caribbean island ) and moved to France with her mother when she was sixteen. Marie-Jose became the second female athlete in the history of the Olympic Games to sweep the 200m and 400m ( Atlanta'96 ).

Like Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana and Reunion, New Caledonia -French territory in Oceania- is not member of the International Olympic Committee ( IOC ). Why? France does not allow its territories to compete in the Olympics. For this reason, New Caledonia's athletes can not compete in the Olympic Games. Unlike Guam ( American territory ), Aruba ( Dutch territory ) and Bermuda ( British territory ), it did not compete in the 2004 Olympics. Ironically, New Caledonia has several famous sportspeople in the South Pacific. Aquatics: Olivier Saminadin, Thomas Dahlia, Thomas Chacun, Reine-Victora Weber, Lara Grangeon, Diana Bui-Duyet, Adeline Williams and Gilles Durnesnil. Archery: Laurent Clerte, Emmanuel Guilhard, Henry Shiu, Isabelle Soeno and Sylvena Plazenet. Athletics: Vaikula Elise Takosi, Candice Soulisse, Erwin Casser, Bertrand Vili, Eric Frederic, Bina Ramesh, Eric Revillard, Phoebe Wejieme and Daniel Kilamo. Badminton: Nicolas Martoredjo, Florent Mathey, Marc-Antonie Desaynoz, Johanna Kou and Cecile Sarengat. Boxing: Christophe Lestage, Ataale Gyan and Hannequin Benoit. Judo: Sandrine Perel, Kyo Lussaud, Melissa Kaddour, Stephane Courtine, Jonathan Berger, Cyril Chevalier, Paul Dulac, Abedis Trindade de Abreu, Vaea Chadfeau and Diane Hillaireau. Sailing: Chrisptophe Renaud, Alban Rossollin, Feri Malhieu, Michael Borde, Cawle Dabin and Paiscillia Poaniewa. Shooting: Theodore Tein Weiawe, Fabrice Azarro and Phillipe Sinoni. Table tennis: Frederic Quach, Laurent Sens, Maxime Bataihard, Ornella Bouteille and Alexandra Heraclide. Taekwondo: Annie Odino, Kevin Belhameche, John Trouilet and Arnord Sariman. Tennis: Julien Couly, Elodie Rogge and Nickolas Ngodrela. Triathlon: Oliver Bargibant, Stephane Lacroix and Benedicte Meunier. At the last South Pacific Games held in Apia ( Samoa / formerly Western Samoa ) in November 2007, it finished 1st among 22 countries and territories. Certainly, New Caledonia has won more international gold medals per capita than any other country of the South Pacific.

Paris hosted the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship in 1986. Final standings: 1.United States, 2.USSR ( currently Russia ), 3.Bulgaria, 4.Brazil, 5.Cuba, 6.France, 7.Argentina, 8.Czechoslovakia (currently Czech Republic/Slovak Republic), 9.Poland, 10.Japan, 11.China, 12.Italy, 13.Greece, 14.Venezuela, 15.Egypt, 16.Taiwan.

Jean Schopter became the first Frenchman to win the Roland Garros in 1892.

France send 243 athletes to the 1984 Los Angeles Games. It participated in 19 sports: archery ( 2 ), athletics (45), basketball ( 12 ), boxing ( 4 ), kayak ( 14 ), cycling ( 16 ), equestrian ( 11), fencing ( 20 ), football ( 17 ), gymnastics ( 9 ), wrestling ( 16 ), modern pentathlon ( 3 ), rowing ( 22 ), shooting ( 15 ), swimming ( 19 ), tennis ( 4 ), weightlifting ( 2 ), wrestling ( 8 ), sailing ( 12 ).

This European country won the gold medal in soccer at the 1984 Olympic Games in the United States.

France is the birthplace of fencing. Fencing was made part of the official program for the Olympics at the 1896 Athens Games.

Paris has hosted the Summer Olympics in 1924. There were 3,092 athletes from 44 countries who competed in 19 sports: athletics, aquatics, boxing, cycling, diving, equestrian, fencing, gymnastics, modern pentathlon, polo, rowing, rugby, sailing, shooting, soccer, tennis, water polo, weightlifting, wrestling. France came third with 13 golds, 15 silvers and 10 bronzes.

Eunice Barber is one of the most famous athletes in France. She was born on November 17, 1974 in Freetown, Sierra Leone ( Western Africa ), the world's poorest country. Eunice says, "I was fortunate to grow up in Sierra Leone, an English-speaking African country where sport is very present". For political and economic reasons, she moved to France when she was 18 years old. In the 1990s, Sierra Leone had one of Africa's bloodiest civil wars. More than 70,000 Africans had been killed and 150,000 had left the country. Under the banner of Sierra Leone, Eunice finished fifth in the heptathlon competition at the 1996 Olympic Games in the United States. For many sportswriters and experts, her Olympic performance was amazing. Three years later, she become a French citizen.

1999: European Cup-1st heptathlon

1999: World Cup-1st heptathlon

2003: IAAF World Championships- 1st long jump, 2nd heptathlon

He admires Frida Kahlo (Mexican painter), Jos Gamarra (former president of the Bolivian Olympic Committee ,1970- 1982), Hillary Clinton (ex-First Lady of the USA), and Jimmy Carter (former President of the USA). Alejandro said: "The person who I admire the most is Jos Gamarra . He devoted his professional and personal life to sport. Jos played an important role in the promotion of Olympism in Bolivia -it is one of the Third World`s poorest countries- and Latin America. His biography is interesting". The sportspeople he most admire is Olympic volleyball player Flo Hyman. "This African-American sportswoman is my idol... "

One of the most important things you can do in a scene is find the conflict. Whether it is a monologue (internal conflict) or a scene with a partner (external conflict) there is always something that is at stake for the character you are playing. Think of it this way, if there is no conflict in a scene why are you watching it? People do not want to see everyday activities, they want to see drama.

With that being said, the question of how to find the conflict arises. First off let's define what conflict is. Conflict is two opposing forces trying to get what they want at the same time. For instance, one character wants a bag of money and the other character wants the same bag. This creates dramatic tension as both the characters will try by whatever means necessary to get that bag of money! What makes the scene interesting is the conflict between the two characters and the bag of money. If they both decided to share the bag of money and went happily on their way, there would be no reason to watch. It would be absolutely and excruciatingly boring.

People watch movies and plays to be transported away from reality. They watch it because it is often times much more interesting than their everyday life. If you do not find what your character wants in the scene then you might as well not even be in it. It will be boring and unentertaining without knowing exactly what forces are opposing you and how to overcome them. However, if you know what your objective is and you know how to attain it, it will add brilliant dimensions to an otherwise dull and pointless character. Think about scenes that really stand out in film or theatre and what makes them so great. Usually it is the tension between the two characters over something very important at stake. Don't take my word for it, just watch some of the great films and the conflict that gives them life.

Exitos en Video

Customer Review: Sound engeneer where are you?
The sound quality is horrendous, Mana make a lot of money off there fans I could not believe my ears. I end up play the cd and the videos Simultaneously to be happy. A live concert DVD is needed MANA.
Customer Review: Great Mexican rock band, great songs but...
When they made the DVD, there are some things they should have changed on it. If you're a Mana fan, you'll know all the songs. One live track, a cover of "El Rey" filmed in Montreux Switerland shows of Alex Gonzalez's drumming, something that doesn't come through on their studio tracks. As far as the videos themselves go, you see it going from something that is borderline public access video, to some embarrassing videos that are kind of humorous, to a more polished look towards the "Suenos Liquidos" videos, where it ends. Nothing from "Revolucion de Amor" or their song with Carlos Santana "Corazon Espinado" (which is on Carlos' "Supernatural" DVD) is included. Here's the complaints that I found more annoying than anything: the cover of Led Zeppelin's "Fool in the Rain", straight off of the "Econium" tribute video is them in the studio talking about recording the song. It either should be the full song or in the "extras". It's something that you wind up forwarding and gets annoying real fast. "Clavado En Un Bar" has 5 minutes of the "making of", yet you can't skip the making of, you have to forward it. Another one that belongs in the "extras". It's something that we should be able to enjoy with the TV on or off. The "in betweens" can get a little noisy at times but isn't a big deal. It's not in Surround Sound, but you can hear it playing in all the speakers. I'd like to see them revamp this one a little bit to make it more "DVD-friendly" and put out a live DVD which shows off how great they are in concert. Even if you don't understand Spanish, the music alone is good enough to enjoy...

Go along to any club or dance and you will see an amazing array of people attempting to dance. Watch them for a while and you will see the vast majority of them have no rhythm and two left feet on backwards.

Customer Review: parental advisory
I bought this for my 8 year old daughter, assuming that because it was geared towards kids, it would be appropriate. I was disappointed to see that these cds had a parental advisory: "Explicit lyrics" sticker on them. It did not say this in the product description. I will be returning this item.
Customer Review: Karaoke CD review
I like this, because i love to sing. It educates you in music and is a lot of fun to do with your friends. Its not very durable though, but how many CDs are???

From the beginning of time, dance has been a societal activity. Dancing in groups was popular and dances were open, no close proximity touching of partners. In the nineteenth century, about 1880, a dance, the tango, emerged in Buenos Aires. It was born in the poor areas and brothels of the city and made its way gradually into the upper class homes of the rich. Argentina was a very rich country and many of its inhabitants had vacation homes in Paris and London. They took the tango with them when they went abroad.

The origin and meaning of the word tango appears to have come from an African word. Its translation by Europeans and others in the Americas was "a closed space where Negroes gather to dance" and then later the name of the dance.

The tango that was born in the brothels of Argentina had overt sexual undertones and many considered it vulgar. As it moved from class group to class group, the dance changed. The main ingredient of the dance, the connection between the two partners, did not change. It evolved into a more sensuous, acceptable form in society. If you watch ballroom dancing competitions, you will see the tango performed by the contestants. This is a diluted version of the dance.

Dancing itself is a romantic activity. When you dance, you are in close proximity of your partner. You move for and with each other. A truly romantic gift for Valentine Day is Argentine Tango lessons for the two of you. After you have learned the dance, create a romantic setting for the two of you:

  • Create an invitation for your loved one, inviting them to dinner and dance.
  • Purchase a CD of your favorite tango music.
  • Prepare a meal of their favorite food.
  • Add candles and flowers to the table.
  • Use your best china, silverware, and crystal.
  • Push back the furniture in the living room for dance space.
  • Eat your romantic dinner.
  • Dim the lights.
  • Work off your romantic dinner by dancing the Argentine Tango.
  • End your evening of romance in a way that suits the two of you.

The Argentine Tango is one of the most sensuous and romantic dances in the world. Each partner must concentrate and focus on the presence, the body, and the emotions of their partner. They must feel each other. The Argentine Tango is a dance in which the partners can express their desire and longing for each other.

What a truly wonderful romantic gift for Valentine Day or any time of the year.
